citizenAID Presented at International Conference

citizenAID took its message overseas last month when Director Peter Joyce gave a presentation at the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine and Emergencies (SEMES) Conference on Friday 27th April in Madrid.

The conference, which was attended by more than 200 delegates, was held at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and focused on the threat of terror in Spain as well as preparation for and prevention of terrorism.

Peter commented: "It was a pleasure to travel to Spain and talk about citizenAID with such an important audience. Our message really resonates with what SEMES works to promote and so I'm glad we had the opportunity to talk to attendees about our work."

The SEMES organisation is a non-profit scientific society that works to promote research, quality, training and education in emergency assistance and holds conferences throughout the year.

Peter spoke about the history of citizenAID and the issues it aims to tackle in the UK, as well as how it could be applied in Spain.

Peter continued: "Another highlight of the trip was meeting international citizenAID ambassadors Josep, Valentine and Esther, hearing all about the work they're involved with in Spain and discussing the opportunity for citizenAID to work overseas.

"I'm looking forward to developing our relationship with our international partners and helping citizenAID to reach even more people in the coming months."
