Nigel is a Paramedic and the author of the UK’s leading range of first aid books. He is the chair of the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum and sits on the First Aid Quality Partnership, as well as the Community and Ambulance Resuscitation Sub-committee of the Resuscitation Council UK. Nigel actively campaigns to increase awareness of first aid for catastrophic bleeding and founded the UK’s “Stop the Bleed Day”.

Professor Sir Keith Porter was a Consultant Trauma Surgeon at University Hospital Birmingham and Professor of Clinical Traumatology at the University of Birmingham. He was the civilian clinical lead for the care of injured soldiers returning to the UK from both Iraq and Afghanistan. Keith has played an integral part of the development of Pre Hospital Emergency Medicine in the UK in a variety of national roles.
