citizenAID launches new public information video
citizenAID is proud to launch a new public information video to show how ordinary people can take extraordinary actions to save lives in the immediate aftermath of an explosion.
Set in a busy transport hub, the video begins with an explosion and follows a member of staff and his colleague who use the citizenAID app to assess the area for further danger, communicate effectively with the emergency services and deliver life-saving first aid to the injured members of the public around them.
The video shows the principle of ‘triage’, which ensures you treat the most seriously injured first. It also recognises that you cannot save everyone and must recognise that some may be dead.
The video is a ‘textbook’ example of the citizenAID principles in practice, taking into account the complexity and danger of the aftermath of an explosion as well as the time-critical nature of the injuries that would have been sustained.
