Moggy’s Coming

Beautifully illustrated, Children's book by citizenAID.

How can we sensitively and appropriately provide preparation for our children to deal with the unlikely but not impossible chance of being caught up in a deliberate attack?

The NSPCC have provided advice for parents to talk to their children about terrorism. https://www.nspcc.org.uk/what-we-do/news-opinion/supporting-children-worried-about-terrorism/

Consultant clinical psychologist Emma Citron, who specialises in children and trauma, says families should not shy away from talking about such events, via this report from the BBC http://www.bbc.com/news/education-40011787#

We at citizenAID have been working with security and education experts to create materials for parents and teachers and we have now released a children’s e-book “Moggy’s coming” that emphasises the ‘Run, Hide, Tell, Treat’ message in a non-threatening way. The e-book includes a story, questions to prompt discussion and a series of nursery-style rhymes.

Our e-book will be provided completely free to teachers in our forthcoming education pack for schools. It is also available on Amazon (here) for you to view on your kindle or e-reader 100% of the proceeds received from the sale of this e-book go to the citizenAID Charity.

This is the first in a series of educational books, featuring the Mulberry School mice in emergency situations. Designed for Key Stage 1 & 2.
