Following the success of last year's STOP THE BLEED DAY

Stop The Bleed Day at Sandwell Ambulance Station

Join us on Saturday 27th April 2024 at Sandwell Ambulance Station. citizenAid alongside the West Midlands Ambulance Service's Education and Training Team will be holding FREE training sessions as part of this year's Stop The Bleed Day.

Learn vital skills to save lives by stopping serious bleeding.


The West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust has partnered with citizenAid to deliver this FREE life-saving training.

The aim is to train as many people as possible in one day in how to stop severe bleeding.

Training Sessions
 

Please choose one of the following training sessions and send an email to DG-TrainingAdministration@wmas.nhs.uk with your preferred option.
 

  • Option 1: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

  • Option 2: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • Option 3: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

  • Option 4: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

  • Option 5: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

  • Option 6: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Please book your place no later than Friday 26th April 2024 to allow WMAS enough time to confirm your booking and plan for the day. All attendees must have a confirmed email; bookings will be checked on arrival.

Sessions are open to all adults and children aged over 11 (Year 7 and above). 

You do not need to be medically trained to attend this event.

To book your place, please follow all the instructions below.

Visitors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, parent, or guardian.

Places are strictly limited so you must pre-book your ticket.

IMPORTANT: Everyone attending needs to register online and will receive confirmation via email with instructions and a ticket.

Sandwell Ambulance Station is a fully operational facility.
Visitors will be met at the gate and reception to ensure smooth operations.

 

All gates, car parks, and box junctions will be policed and must be kept clear at all times.

Travel and Parking

Parking is limited and can only be guaranteed with a confirmed booking. Consider carpooling if attending in groups. The nearest train station is Sandwell & Dudley Train Station, B70 7JD) and is a 25-30 minute walk to the Ambulance Station (Shidas Lane, Oldbury, West Midlands B69 2GR).
