I am an event safety specialist now but my background is emergency planning and health and safety.

Having worked on what are now commonly known as 'giga' events such as the London Olympic and Paralympic Games I have gone on to work for the 1st European Games in BAKU, Azerbaijan and as an event safety specialist for a number of events at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi including the annual final F1 of the season. Lately having completed a period of venue safety at the London Stadium, for the International Paralympic and World Athletic Championships I now embark on my next chapter with A.C.T (National) where we regularly work on major events such as the London Marathon amongst others.

I am taking this time back in the UK to study for an MSc in Crowd Safety and Risk Analysis at Manchester under Prof G.K.Still. and the current module is based on Major Incidents and Disaster planning..

Working together with event organisers, promoters and fellow colleagues my aim is to provide practical and achievable objectives and to do this I always have to remain current with best practice, hence joining Citizen Aid. I hope I never have the need for this excellent advice in anger, but knowing that this is the go to place for info, will greatly assist in planning just in case....

Specialties: Event Safety, public safety, emergency management, crowd management & risk analysis.
