citizenAID took its message overseas last month when Director Peter Joyce gave a presentation at the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine and Emergencies (SEMES) Conference on Friday 27th April in Madrid. The conference, which was attended by more than 200 delegates, was held at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and focused on the threat of terror in Spain as well as preparation for and prevention of terrorism. citizenAID is delighted to announce that it has received an external grant from open-access funder, The Fore. Based in London, The Fore offers development funding and strategic support to small and early stage charities. citizenAID was one of 20 charities chosen for a grant out of more than 20,000 applications and received funding of £30,000. Members of the citizenAID team attended this year's Sports Grounds Safety Authority (SGSA) Conference, titled 'Maintaining Vigilance in Safety', on the Thursday 19th April. The SGSA is the UK's regulatory body on safety at sports grounds and works to ensure that sports grounds are safe for everyone by sharing knowledge, advice and guidance on safety design and management as well as working in partnership with other organisations to educate the public.
